Allison Pynn creates hyperrealistic colored-pencil drawings that turn the nostaglic, indulgent foods we love into fine art. Each piece begins with food she prepares and photographs herself, then recreates by hand over the course of many months- and hundreds of hours.

Dripping, melting and gloriously messy, each subject sits unapologetically in the center of the page, giving an overflowing PB&J or messy cheeseburger the kind of attention usually reserved for fine art. The result is playful, polished and a little excessive.
